Your domains that you setup in your WHM are by default, name-based accounts. This means they share the IP address of the server, or a 2nd IP that is configured to your account.
Some instances call for a dedicated IP address, such as using an SSL certificate etc. If you require a dedicated IP address for a domain, follow these steps:
(1). Submit a support ticket to the Alpine Support Helpdesk, and request which domains you'd like us to assign a dedicated IP to, and the reason for the IP request. Remember, the domain must already be created in your WHM before we can assign a dedicated IP address to it.
(2). Follow the payment link we will send you to pay for your IP or IP block.
We will then assign dedicated IPs to those domains that you requested.
Important note - You cannot choose any IPs yourself from the IP drop down menu in the "Create a new account" form. We must add the IP to your requested domain. Drop in a support ticket at the Alpine Support Helpdesk.
Also note that changing a domain's IP address, could render that domain unreachable for a few hours, due to DNS caching issues. It does not happen all the time, but you should be aware of such an issue before changing the domain's IP.
